Founder | Sheepie T's
Sheepie T’s was inspired by Kendra Graham at a weekend women’s retreat at The Cove in Asheville, NC. Kendra spent the weekend teaching the likeness of a shepherd and his sheep to God and His children. She taught that we are helpless ‘little sheepies’, lost without our Shepherd and emphasized that He cares too much about each of us intimately and individually to leave us lost and helpless. He rescues, heals, protects and loves each of His ‘little sheepies’ as if we were His only one. Though I had heard this metaphor numerous times previously, Kendra did a beautiful job illustrating it that weekend. Her method of teaching this simple truth planted an image in my mind of the little fluffy Sheepie and inspired the creation of Sheepie T’s.
I have always had a desire to encourage others, but a stronger desire developed after my oldest sister, Trina suddenly passed away in a car accident in 2010. Though our family had suffered other losses, this was the most devastating for me. God faithfully found me when I was lost, carried me when I couldn’t walk, and loved me when I felt so unlovable in the depths of my despair.
The “T’s” part of the name is for my sister Katrina “Trina” Nemeth Ellenburg (right) and the little Sheepie T even has her blue eyes! She had her struggles in life but always trusted the Shepherd to carry her through. I rejoice in knowing I will soon be with her and the Shepherd for eternity!
It is my hope and prayer that Sheepie T’s will offer hope and encouragement to all who visit! That each time someone sees our little Sheepie T they will be reminded that God knows each of us intimately and loves and cares for us individually. That if someone reading is feeling despair or hopelessness that you will reach out to us. We are here to listen and to pray for you individually!
